About the GF Instruments ARES II Marine Configuration
The ARES II Marine configuration extends GF Instruments' 10-channel ARES II resistivity and IP system to underwater, marine, and borehole/cross-hole survey applications, using the same core acquisition hardware adapted for submerged or downhole electrode placement.
It's used for riverbed and lakebed characterization, dam and levee seepage investigation, and cross-hole resistivity tomography between boreholes — applications where standard surface electrode arrays aren't practical.
