About the GF Instruments ARES II
The ARES II is GF Instruments' advanced multi-channel automatic resistivity and induced-polarization imaging system, built around a 10-channel receiver and an 850W, 2000Vpp, 5A transmitter with parallel-booster capability for demanding survey programs.
It supports large-scale 2D and 3D surveys with up to 65,000 electrodes via multiplexing, continuous survey from water level, and programmable long-term monitoring, and can be operated from a standard 12V battery or generator without a PC in the field. Applications span groundwater exploration, geotechnical investigation, dam and dike monitoring, environmental studies, mineral prospecting, archaeology, and cavity/void detection.
