GSSI Profiler EMP-400
Multi-frequency electromagnetic profiler measuring in-phase, quadrature, and apparent conductivity for geological and environmental site assessment.
New Refurbished Absolute Certified Surplus
About the GSSI Profiler EMP-400
The Profiler EMP-400 can be configured to measure up to three selectable frequencies in the 1,000–16,000 Hz range simultaneously, outputting the in-phase and quadrature components of the field ratio in parts per million alongside apparent conductivity (referenced at 15 kHz), in either vertical or horizontal dipole mode.
A proprietary source-cancellation and calibration design gives it signal stability suited to soil salinity assessment, groundwater and contamination investigation, and general environmental/geological conductivity mapping at a more accessible price point than some multi-frequency alternatives.
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Frequency range | 1,000–16,000 Hz (up to 3 simultaneous frequencies) |
| Outputs | In-phase & quadrature (ppm), apparent conductivity (mS/m, referenced at 15 kHz) |
| Dipole modes | Vertical and horizontal |
| Typical use | Soil salinity, groundwater, environmental/geological assessment |
