About the Geonics EM61-HH
The EM61-HH carries the same pulsed time-domain EM sensing principle as the cart-mounted EM61-MK2 but in a lightweight, single-operator handheld frame, with the electronics carried in a backpack. This trades some of the cart system's positional consistency for the ability to survey slopes, dense vegetation, confined sites, and other terrain a wheeled cart cannot cross.
It is specified where UXO or buried-metal survey is required on terrain unsuitable for cart-based systems — steep or broken ground, indoor/confined spaces, and vegetated sites.
