About the DUALEM 421S
The DUALEM-421S combines dual-geometry receivers at 1, 2, and 4 m separations from the transmitter, giving six simultaneous depths of conductivity sounding (roughly 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, and 6 m) in one pass. It disassembles into the smaller DUALEM-21S configuration when only the shallower geometries are needed.
It has been specifically documented for 2-D soil moisture estimation supporting precision irrigation management, as well as broader soil and near-surface geological mapping where multiple simultaneous depth soundings save survey time versus repeated single-depth passes.
