Mount Sopris Instruments QL40-NEU
A thermal neutron probe from the QL40 series that measures formation porosity by detecting the moderation of neutrons by hydrogen atoms in pore fluid.
New Refurbished Absolute Certified Surplus
About the Mount Sopris Instruments QL40-NEU
Neutron logging responds primarily to hydrogen content, which in saturated formations correlates closely with porosity — making the QL40-NEU a core tool for aquifer and reservoir characterization alongside gamma and resistivity logs.
Like the other QL40 tools, it can be run standalone or stacked into a combined probe string to shorten logging time on multi-parameter surveys.
