Mount Sopris Instruments QL40-FWS-S
A full-waveform sonic probe that records complete acoustic waveforms in real time, from which compressional, shear, and Stoneley wave velocities can be extracted.
New Refurbished Absolute Certified Surplus
About the Mount Sopris Instruments QL40-FWS-S
Full-waveform sonic logging provides the elastic-wave velocity data used to derive rock mechanical properties (dynamic modulus, Poisson's ratio) and to detect fractures and lithology changes from wave attenuation.
Real-time waveform capture allows post-survey re-processing with different picking algorithms, rather than being limited to a single onboard travel-time measurement.
