Zonge GDP-16
Introduced in 1986 as the successor to the pioneering GDP-12, the GDP-16 was Zonge International's multimethod geophysical receiver of its generation — supporting resistivity, IP, and EM data acquisition before the current GDP-32/24 line took over.
Refurbished Absolute Certified Surplus
This model has been discontinued by the manufacturer. PartnerGeometrics sources it through the used and refurbished market — available as Refurbished, Absolute Certified, or Surplus only.
About the Zonge GDP-16
The GDP-16 continued Zonge International's line of multimethod geophysical data-acquisition receivers, following the GDP-12 — one of the first microprocessor-based multimethod systems in the industry when it launched in the late 1970s. Introduced in 1986, the GDP-16 carried that multimethod design forward, supporting DC resistivity, induced polarization, and electromagnetic survey methods on one receiver platform, before Zonge's own GDP-32 superseded it in 1993.
Zonge describes its current GDP-32 design as the product of over 25 years of experience across the GDP-12, GDP-16, and GDP-32 generations — the GDP-16 is a genuine piece of that lineage, and working units still turn up in the used exploration-geophysics equipment market.
