IRIS Instruments Syscal R1 Plus
The Syscal R1 Plus was IRIS Instruments' medium-depth resistivity meter, combining a transmitter (up to 200 W / 1200 Vpp) and a 2-channel receiver in a single self-contained unit — a predecessor generation to today's Syscal Pro line.

About the IRIS Instruments Syscal R1 Plus
The Syscal R1 Plus was designed for medium-depth resistivity exploration, integrating a power source, a transmitter capable of up to 200 W or 1200 Vpp output, and a 2-channel receiver into one field-portable unit. It ran fully automatic measurement sequences under microprocessor control, with automatic self-potential correction, automatic ranging, and digital stacking for noise reduction — features that carried forward into IRIS's later Syscal Pro generation.
Now discontinued in favor of the current Syscal Pro and Syscal Pro Switch systems, the R1 Plus remains a capable, lower-cost entry point for medium-depth resistivity and IP surveys where a full 10-channel Syscal Pro isn't required.
