About the AGI SuperSting R8/IP
The SuperSting R8/IP is the induced-polarization-focused configuration of AGI's 8-channel SuperSting platform, specified for surveys where chargeability data (not just resistivity) is the primary target — most commonly mineral exploration for disseminated sulphide mineralization, where IP response can distinguish mineralized zones that look similar in resistivity alone.
It shares the same 8-channel Swift-switched hardware as the standard R8 but is typically paired with IP-optimized cable configurations and current injection settings for chargeability decay measurement.
