About the AGI SuperSting R1
The SuperSting R1 is the entry point into Advanced Geosciences Inc.'s SuperSting resistivity family — a single-channel automatic earth resistivity, induced polarization (IP), and self-potential (SP) meter built around the same SwiftÔ multi-electrode switching architecture as the higher-channel-count R8.
Because it reads one channel at a time rather than eight simultaneously, survey acquisition takes longer than an R8 for the same electrode spread, but the R1 is a genuinely capable field instrument for smaller crews, teaching programmes, and lower-budget site investigations that don't need the R8's throughput.
