About the ABEM (Guideline Geo) Terrameter SAS 4000
The SAS 4000 measures resistivity, IP and SP and records up to four channels per current injection. Used with ABEM's LUND electrode selector and multi-electrode cables, it was for many years a standard platform for 2D resistivity imaging; on its own it is also used for vertical electrical soundings (VES).
Many SAS 4000 units remain in the field. They are a robust, well-understood option for VES and smaller ERT projects, and a useful source of spares for fleets still running SAS/LUND equipment.
