GEM Systems GSM-9
GEM Systems' first pulsed Overhauser-effect magnetometer, the design that established the Overhauser product line later continued and refined in the current GSM-19 series.

About the GEM Systems GSM-9
The GSM-9 was GEM Systems' first pulsed Overhauser-effect magnetometer, historically significant as the design that moved the company away from classical proton precession sensing and established the Overhauser product line the company has continued to develop ever since, most notably in the current GSM-19 series.
Overhauser sensing uses RF polarization of free electrons to continuously polarize the proton population, enabling faster sampling and lower power draw than a classical proton-precession sensor at comparable sensitivity — an advantage the GSM-9 introduced to GEM Systems' lineup and that later models refined further.
