About the GEODEVICE MaxiMag
MaxiMag is GEODEVICE's ground-based Overhauser walking magnetometer, positioned by the manufacturer as a lightweight, portable option for total-field and gradiometer ground surveys. As an Overhauser instrument it offers continuous polarization and fast sampling relative to classical proton-precession sensors, while retaining the drift-free absolute measurement that Overhauser and proton instruments share.
It is typically deployed for mineral exploration reconnaissance, environmental and UXO screening, and archaeological prospection where a walking survey platform is preferred over vehicle or drone-based acquisition.
