About the Geonics PROTEM CM
PROTEM CM records the transient decay of the secondary magnetic field across many time gates, using three-component receiver coils. Paired with a small transmitter such as the EM47 it serves shallow and intermediate groundwater and environmental soundings; with the larger EM57 or EM67 transmitters and big loops it reaches the depths needed in mineral exploration.
PROTEM has been a reference TEM receiver for decades, and complete systems and individual components regularly come onto the used market.
