Zeiss CMM Reference Sphere & Artifact Set
Reference sphere and calibration artifact set — precision spheres and known geometries used to qualify CMM probes and verify machine performance.
New Refurbished Absolute Certified Surplus
About the Zeiss CMM Reference Sphere & Artifact Set
Coordinate measuring machines are periodically verified and their touch-trigger or scanning probes are "qualified" using precision reference spheres of certified diameter and roundness. Zeiss supplies reference sphere sets and calibration artifacts sized and mounted for use on its own CMM lines and compatible with other CMM brands.
A calibration lab servicing multiple customer CMMs typically keeps several sphere diameters on hand to match different probe stylus lengths and machine envelopes.
