About the Scintrex ENVI PRO
The ENVI PRO sat between the entry-level ENVI-MAG and Scintrex's cesium-vapor instruments, adding integrated GPS positioning and mapping software to the ENVI proton-precession platform. It was built as a field and base-station magnetometer with a true simultaneous gradiometer mode, aimed at crews who needed to cover large survey areas quickly without the cost of a cesium sensor.
Typical applications included mineral exploration reconnaissance, geological mapping, environmental site characterization, groundwater exploration, geotechnical studies, civil engineering surveys, and archaeological prospection. It has since been superseded in Scintrex's current lineup by the cesium-vapor ENVI Cs; PartnerGeometrics sources working ENVI PRO units from the used market for buyers who specifically need the proton-precession instrument.
