Scintrex ENVI-GRAD/VLF
The gradiometer- and VLF-equipped configuration of Scintrex's ENVI proton precession magnetometer system — a second sensor with staff extender for true simultaneous gradient readings, plus a VLF receiver harness for combined magnetic/VLF-EM survey in a single field kit.

About the Scintrex ENVI-GRAD/VLF
The ENVI-GRAD/VLF is the fully-equipped field configuration of Scintrex's ENVI proton precession magnetometer platform — the same base electronics as the ENVI-MAG, extended with a second sensor on a staff extender for true simultaneous vertical-gradient measurement, and a separate VLF sensor and harness assembly for very-low-frequency electromagnetic survey. Combining both add-ons on one console let a single crew run total-field, gradient, and VLF-EM survey lines without swapping instruments.
The gradiometer configuration was widely used for near-surface conductor mapping and unexploded-ordnance and buried-utility work, where the added VLF channel is a fast, low-cost way to flag linear conductive structures — pipes, faults, mineralized veins — that a magnetic-only survey can miss. It is no longer manufactured; PartnerGeometrics sources working ENVI-GRAD/VLF systems from the secondary survey-equipment market.
