About the Faro Laser Tracker X
The Laser Tracker X was part of FARO's earlier laser tracker generation, alongside the Xi and ION models, before the company consolidated its tracker line under the current Vantage series (VantageE/VantageS). Many X-series units remain in active field service today and continue to be supported for calibration and repair, making them a viable lower-cost entry point into laser tracker metrology for buyers who don't need the latest Vantage-generation performance.
Units are typically acquired through trade-ins, fleet upgrades, and lease returns, then serviced and — where the Absolute Certified tier is selected — recalibrated against a traceable reference before resale.
