About the GSSI SIR-10
The SIR System-10 was one of GSSI's earlier control unit platforms, predating the SIR-2000 generation. Units are still occasionally found circulating on the used equipment market, sometimes noted by sellers as pre-FCC-era instruments — a marker of just how long-lived this control unit generation has proven in the field.
Because it predates later software generations, a SIR-10 is best suited to buyers who already operate compatible legacy antennas and want an economical backup or spare unit rather than a primary survey instrument.
