About the Zeiss O-Inspect 442
O-Inspect is Zeiss's answer to parts too small or delicate for a full-size CMM alone: it lets an operator switch between non-contact vision measurement and a scanning tactile probe within one setup, avoiding re-fixturing between two separate machines.
The 442 designation refers to its working envelope, positioned as the compact model in the O-Inspect range. It's especially popular for medical device components, connectors, and small precision-machined parts where feature size varies across a single workpiece.
