About the Trimos Vectra Height Gauge
Trimos has manufactured reference-grade vertical measuring instruments for over 50 years, and the Vectra was part of an earlier generation of the company's height gauge range, alongside sibling models like the Mestra and Mini Vertical. These units combined a granite or steel column with a precision measuring carriage, used in calibration laboratories and toolrooms as a reference standard for verifying other height-measuring equipment and for direct precision height/depth measurement.
Trimos has since moved its current lineup to the fully electronic V-series (V1 through V9), and the Vectra, Mestra, and related earlier-generation models have been phased out of production. Units already in the field remain accurate, well-built instruments and are actively sought after on the secondhand market, particularly by labs that already have compatible probing and software workflows built around the earlier design.
