About the Trimos Mestra Height Gauge
The Mestra was part of Trimos' earlier-generation height gauge range, alongside the Vectra and Mini Vertical, sold before the company standardized its current lineup around the electronic V-series (V1 through V9). Like its siblings, it combined a rigid reference column with a precision measuring carriage for direct height/depth measurement and for use as a calibration-lab reference standard.
Trimos phased out the Mestra and its contemporaries as the V-series matured, and these earlier units are now sourced exclusively secondhand. Well-maintained examples remain accurate, dependable instruments, and are a cost-effective option for shops or labs that don't require the electronic V-series' additional features.
