Grade 00 ceramic (zirconia) gauge block set — Mitutoyo's laboratory-reference-grade line, prized for wear and corrosion resistance far beyond steel blocks.
New Refurbished Absolute Certified Surplus
About the Mitutoyo CERA Ceramic Block Set
Mitutoyo's CERA blocks are made from a fine-grain ceramic (zirconia-based) material rather than steel, developed using the company's ultra-precision machining techniques. The result is a block that resists wear, corrosion, and thermal expansion drift far better than conventional steel gauge blocks, making it the preferred choice where a set must remain accurate over years of repeated use.
Because ceramic blocks don't rust and barely wear from wringing, calibration labs often keep a CERA set as their primary in-house reference standard, reserving steel sets for higher-throughput working calibration.
