About the Mitutoyo Series 515 Granite Straight Edge
Granite straight edges provide a certified straight reference line over a defined length, used to check the straightness of machine tool ways, guide rails, and other long linear features that a standard surface plate can't easily verify. Like Mitutoyo's granite plates, the straight edge benefits from granite's dimensional stability over cast iron or steel equivalents.
Available in multiple lengths and accuracy grades, straight edges are a staple reference tool in machine-tool rebuild and calibration-lab environments.
