About the Lennartz electronic LE-3D/5s
The LE-3D/5s extends the Lennartz three-component design to a 5 s eigenperiod, so it records reliable ground motion well below 1 Hz. That is useful for HVSR in deep sedimentary basins (where the resonance frequency is low), for regional seismology and for monitoring long-period vibration.
It connects to an external digitiser or seismic recorder and is widely used in temporary seismological arrays and site-effect studies.
