About the Hexagon Leica Absolute Tracker AT901
The AT901 was the Leica Absolute Tracker model that first brought 6DoF (six-degrees-of-freedom) probing to Hexagon's laser tracker line, enabling single-handed handheld probe measurement without a separate reflector target. Hexagon later combined the AT901's 6DoF capability with the portability of the compact AT403 to create the current-generation AT960, which has effectively superseded the AT901 in the active product line.
AT901 units remain widely serviceable and are frequently sourced through fleet upgrades to the AT960, making them a strong value option for buyers who need 6DoF probing but not the AT960's latest portability improvements.
