About the Mahr Federal B5M Dial Indicator
Mahr acquired the American Federal Products Company, and for years sold dial and electronic indicators under the combined “Mahr Federal” name before dropping “Federal” from the branding in 2017.
Pre-2017 Federal-branded Series B indicators like the B5M remain functionally equivalent to current Mahr mechanical dial indicators and are actively sourced secondhand by shops maintaining older gauge fleets.
