About the Robertson Geologging Geolog 5000
The Geolog 5000 was part of an early generation of Robertson Geologging surface systems, combining digital data recording with a built-in full-width thermal printer so field crews could review a hard-copy log trace on site rather than waiting to process data back at the office — a significant workflow advantage at the time of its 1989 launch.
Robertson's product line has since moved through several console generations (RG PC-Logger, RG Pologger, RG Minilogger, the Micrologger platform, and today's Micrologger2), and the Geolog 5000 is long out of production. It is now sourced exclusively through the used equipment market.
