About the Mount Sopris Instruments MGX II
Before the MATRIX logger became Mount Sopris's standard field console, the MGX II served as the workhorse surface unit for driving the company's probe range and logging incoming data to a field laptop. Many MGX II consoles remain in active service today alongside newer probes, since Mount Sopris has maintained backward compatibility across its logging-system generations.
Buyers still running an MGX II-based fleet, or needing a lower-cost surface unit to pair with an existing set of legacy probes, are exactly who this listing is for — it is no longer sold new by the manufacturer, so the only route to acquiring one is the used equipment market.
